He Public Ministry reported this Tuesday that it announced before the First Collegiate Court of the National District, that in the next hearing it will begin the presentation of the conclusions in the accusation against the almost thirty police and military accused of embezzling the State with more than 4.5 billion pesos.
A press release from the prosecution body indicates that the notification was made to the court by the prosecutors Jonathan Elías PérezMiguel Collado and Arolin Lemos, who represented the Public Ministry at the hearing of the file alleged corruption headed by Army Major General Adán Benoni Cáceres Silvestre, former head of the Presidential Security Corps (Cusep).
The judges of the First Collegiate Court of the National DistrictEsmirna Giselle Méndez, Tania Yunes and Jissel Naranjo, set the next hearing for Tuesday, January 20, at 9:00 in the morning.
Period of three hearings
By decision of the court, the Public Ministry will have a period of three hearings to present its conclusive elements.
- Likewise, it highlights that the defense bars will receive via email the schedule for presenting its conclusions.
During this Tuesday’s hearing, the defendants José Manuel Rosario PirónEpifanio Peña and Carlos Lantigua presented their material defensewith a total of seven who made use of this resource.
In previous hearings they presented their defenses Colonel Rafael Núñez de Aza, Brigadier General Boanerges Reyes Batista and police corporal Tanner Flete Guzmán, son of Rossy Guzmán Sánchez (La Pastora), another of the main defendants in the case.
