CORAAPPLATA begins construction of aqueducts in Guananico and Estero Hondo, works will benefit more than 17 thousand people

CORAAPPLATA inicia construcción acueductos en Guananico y Estero Hondo, obras beneficiarán a más de 17 mil personas

PUERTO PLATA.- The General Director of the Puerto Plata Aqueduct and Sewer Corporation (CORAAPPLATA), Oliver Nazario Brugal gave the first symbolic peck to start the construction of the aqueduct in the municipality of Guananico.

Likewise, Nazario Brugal traveled to the crowded La Ensenada beach in the municipality of Villa Isabela. In this sector he also gave the first peck to undertake the reconstruction of the aqueduct of deep estuary.

He explained that this work will benefit more than 7 thousand citizens residing in Tiburcio, Rancho Manuel, Estero Hondo, Gregorio, Punta Rucia and La Ensenada. In the same order, approximately 40,000 visitors who frequent this tourist area located in the Northwest of Puerto Plata, will have an impact.

“Today we are complying with the instructions of President Luis Abinader, to pay special attention to tourist spots, since they must continue to generate actions aimed at development and continue improving the quality of life of the population,” he said.

The work that will be inaugurated in four months will supply the vital liquid to the urban part of Guananico that includes El Callejón de Los Núñez, Residencial Los Profesores, La Mariposa, Calle La Altagracia, Calle 5, among other sectors.

The public servant was accompanied by the mayor Germania González and several distinguished personalities of that demarcation. They thanked the execution of the aqueduct that will provide quality drinking water to more than 6,000 people.

He said that the construction of this aqueduct is largely due to the persistence and tenacity of the prominent businessman Juan Alberto Durán Álvarez. He was present there as a member of the CORAAPPLATA Board of Directors.

Present at the event were the director of the Estero Hondo District Board, Jorge García, and councilor Juana Álvarez. Likewise, the community leader David Acevedo and other personalities who highlighted the importance of this work for the development of that region.
