Coraaplata will sanction with 6,500 pesos for spilling water

Santiago.-The Corporation of Aqueducts and Sewers of Puerto Plata (CARAAPPLATA) announced that in the coming days it will begin to apply sanctions for oil spills Water and illegal connections in this demarcation.

The fines for potable water spills in the entire province of Puerto Plata range from RD$500 to RD$6,500 for stratified users (R1,R2,R3,R4 and R5), as well as businesses, government institutions, non-profit entities and the industries, but sanctions will also be applied to illegal connections that range from RD$5,000 to RD$35,000.

The provision was announced by the general director of CORAAPPLATA, Oliver Nazario Brugal, after the Board of Directors of that service institution approved the start of the process of fines and sanctions for non-observance of waste and lack of control in the rational use of water.

Nazario Brugal said that after the unanimous approval of the Board of Directors, the application of a policy of fines for uncontrolled spills of water and illegal connection connections to all properties located within the geographical scope of CORAAPPLATA is established.

Nazario Brugal urged all users to respect the procedures and regulations, so that in this way they contribute to continue making the services offered by that institution more efficient for the benefit of the entire population.
