The National Police reported the recapture of Jeison Alexis Moreno, aka “Copita”, 42 years oldwho served a 30 -year prison sentence for aggravated homicide and had managed to escape during a judicial transfer.
The inmate, convicted of the murder of three people – among them the couple made up of Virgen Ramírez (38) and Tony Encarnación – in an event that occurred on November 24, 2020 in the municipal district of the Jovillos, Azua, was rejoiced in a search operation deployed by the authorities.

The institution of the order said that several people are under investigation for the circumstances that facilitated the “Copita” escape in the midst of the transfer, and confirmed that it will be sent again to fulfill the penalty imposed.
