Copei called the opposition primary commission criminals

As “organized crime” the national general secretary of Copei, Juan Carlos Alvarado, labeled those who participated for the green awning in the selection of the candidate for the primaries of the Unity table.

Alvarado insisted that the true representatives of the green awning did not participate in this event of the National Commission of Primaries.

“It is about organized crime. This type of action means ignoring those who, by law, represent our party »he stressed.

He rejected that a group of people have held a meeting on behalf of the political party with those who organize the process of choosing the candidate for the Democratic Unity Roundtable.

He considered that these strategies, far from promoting unity among those who oppose the Government, promote the divisiveness and exclusion.

“The only thing we can see with these measures is that the only thing that this commission seeks is to divide,” he said, reproaching the acts committed by the National Commission of Primaries.

Alvarado recalled that, during the month of November, the Copei party expressed its intention to participate in the consultations with the aforementioned body, however, they never received a response to the request issued by the green awning.
