Personnel from the Prosecutor’s Office and the Police participated this Monday morning in the demolition of part of the house of the serial rapist and femicide, Richard Choque, in El Alto. The mayor of this city, Eva Copa, attended this procedure, and said that, if expropriated, this property could become a refuge for women, in honor of the two adolescents found buried in this place.
The authority specified that the property is private and justice must determine its situation, but left the proposal on the table in the midst of the reconstruction of the two cases.
“It is not our responsibility, but if it could be expropriated, we would like to turn it into a women’s refuge, in homage or something symbolic for the women who have died here,” she said.

Copa reported that the municipality collaborated with machinery and workers to comply with the fiscal requirement. The authority also distributed refreshments to the workers.
“We are proceeding to help with machinery and workers to move things, the Prosecutor’s Office and the Police. We are still with machinery, to do the demolition of a part, to continue doing the investigations,” the mayor said in a conference press.
Investigators believe that there are more victims buried inside the building, where the bodies of Iris and Lucy were found on January 25.
