“It should go out with the same enthusiasm to pronounce itself on femicides and delinquency.” With those words, the mayor of El Alto, Eva Copa, crashed into the Ombudsman, Nadia Cruz, after she urged her to “fulfill her tasks in citizen security.”
Copa’s message against Cruz was published on Twitter: “It should go out with the same enthusiasm to speak out about femicides and delinquency. Where is she when the town needs her? Now that the position leaves her, she finds it very comfortable to criticize from a desk wanting to stir up an unnecessary and out of context controversy ”.

Last Monday, Copa reported that it asked to intervene in the Alteña city due to the assaults that are reported in several areas.
“We have requested that Interpol and Immigration intervene in the city of El Alto, because unfortunately foreigners are doing what they want in our city. They are arrested and released and what we want is for them to be taken away and deported back to their countries,” he stated.
In recent days, the Ombudsman asked Copa “to expel xenophobia from the speeches of the authorities” and in response, Copa asked her to visit the Alteña city.
“I think you should take a little tour of El Alto to see what conditions we really are in. The neighbors are in a state of emergency,” he said.
