The CBF raffled off the 16 clashes of the third round of the Copa do Brasil. Cruzeiro, the biggest winner of the competition with six cups, will face Remo. The current champion Atlético-MG will face Brasiliense. Flamengo and Fluminense from Rio will measure forces with Altos-PI and Vila Nova-GO, respectively. The debutant Portuguesa-RJ faces Corinthians, and Azuriz-PR, who is also participating in the tournament for the first time, will play Bahia.

Palmeiras, commanded by Portuguese coach Abel Ferreira, will face Juazeirense-BA, which eliminated Vasco. The third phase will also have a classic northeast; Fortress vs Victory. Botafogo will face Ceilândia, and Juventude with São Paulo.
A total of 32 clubs are still in the dispute, with 12 of them debuting in the third phase: América-MG, Athletico-PR, Atlético-MG, Bragantino, Corinthians, Flamengo, Fluminense, Fortaleza and Palmeiras, Remo, Bahia and Botafogo,
Departures are scheduled to take place in the weeks of April 20 and May 11. Unlike the previous phases, from the third there will be round-trip matches. In case of equality in the aggregate score of the two matches, the decision will be by penalties. Whoever advances to the round of 16 guarantees a prize of R$ 3 million from the CBF.
