Glorioso had a very weak performance, which from the first minutes left their fans very worried. Sergipe, on the other hand, clearly motivated by the support of its fans, dominated the initial stage, and ended up opening the scoring just before the break. At 46 minutes, winger Augusto Potiguar masterfully took a free kick to overcome goalkeeper Lucas Perri.
Sergipe kept control of the actions in the second half. However, time passed and the home team ran out of steam. As a result, Botafogo began to apply pressure in search of a tie, which only came in the 54th minute when defender Adryelson deflected into the back of the goal after a corner kick.
