Copa Airlines plane leaves the runway in Tocumen; no injuries

A Copa Airlines Boeing 737-800 aircraft, registration HP-1539, skidded off the runway on the night of this Sunday, September 25, at the Tocumen International Airport.

According to the airline, flight CM135 departed from the Benito Juarez airport in Mexico, with the destination route Mexico City-Panama, at 5:26 pm local time.

Meanwhile, the air terminal reported that, given this fact, landing and take-off operations were temporarily suspended for approximately two hours, in which the Panama Pacific airport was enabled to support the operation, to later be reactivated.

Given this fact, it was confirmed that no serious injuries were reported and Civil Aeronautics is carrying out investigations into what happened.
