The Ministry of Health reported this Thursday (20) that 21 people received assistance due to the fire that hit the Blue Zone of the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), in Belém. The bulletin, updated at 6pm, is from the Integrated Center for Joint Health Operations (CIOCS), responsible for monitoring and organizing assistance during the event.
Of the total cases, 19 are related to smoke inhalation. Two people had an anxiety attack after the incident. There were no reports of injuries caused by the flames with burns.
“The patients were treated promptly and 12 have already been released. The rest are receiving adequate assistance in the health services of Belém and in a reference unit for these cases”, says the bulletin.
According to the ministry, municipal, state and federal health teams continue to monitor and monitor the assistance and health status of those served.
