Coordinator in Delta Amacuro of the CBST assures that there will be an increase for teachers

Héctor Ribas, from the CBST in Delta Amacuro, confirmed that there will be a salary increase for the teaching sector and that it will be around between 200 and 300 dollars. He stated that the president Nicolás Maduro awaits two reports to be able to talk about the adjustment of the minimum wage


The communication coordinator of the Bolivarian Socialist Central of Workers (CBST) in Delta Amacuro, Héctor Ribas, affirmed that there will be a salary increase within the education sector and announced that many of the bonuses that are being canceled will become part of the salary .

According to the union leader, President Nicolás Maduro is waiting for two reports from the Bolivarian Socialist Central of Workers and the International Labor Organization, to announce the salary increase.

Ribas, interviewed in Radio Faith and Joy, affirmed that the salary increase is currently being debated between some ministers and 14 worker federations, who are demanding and discussing the third collective agreement with the Minister of Education, Yelitze Santaella; the Comptroller and the Minister of Labor, Francisco Torrealba.

He announced that there are forecasts that the discussions will end in the next few days and their results will be approved, asserting that the minimum salary can reach between 200 and 300 dollars a month with all the clauses that are currently being discussed.

He added that the organization of the employee of each of the ministries was managed through the National Budget Office (Onapre).

In the same way, he clarified that from Onapre it was discovered that there were several public employees with six salaries, since they were on different payrolls, an irregularity that has already been adjusted.

In most of the states in Venezuela, the protests over wage demands keep the streets hot, while the ruling party blames the economic war, the sanctions and the US blockade for not being able to increase the wages of the workers.

Thursday March 2teachers in the states of Miranda and Mérida resumed their street agenda after the 48-hour strike called by university workers to demand salary adjustment and better working conditions.
