New concentration, same disqualifications

Amado Avendaño acknowledges that since its announcement, the rally at the Zócalo has faced the same disqualifications as the first march, but that it has not stopped for this reason.

“On this occasion, the fundamental objective of the concentration in the Zócalo is to request the Supreme Court to act in accordance with the Constitution and reject the so-called ‘Plan B’ that is clearly contrary to democracy, because it implies some unconstitutional and inoperative and what they seek is to weaken the electoral referee”, he indicates.

He considers it a lack of political ethics that the Executive branch disseminates a false narrative against the march participants.

“(García Luna) has nothing to do with it. It is totally false. We notice that there is a hint of despair, perhaps because they want to politicize a demonstration that does not have a partisan overtone, ”he says.

The communicator also points out that as of November 13, it was shown that civil society organizations are the ones who have appropriated the march and the call for the concentration.

“After November 13, (the Executive) called for a counter-march. Now, after the call for the concentration, he calls for a demonstration (within the framework) of the oil Expropriation”, he notes and remarks: “we are conveners, not organizers”.

“March in defense of García Luna”, accuses the president

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has attacked on several occasions against the participants of the march and now against the concentration in the Zócalo; He accuses them of wanting to “defend the old corrupt regime”, of “supporting the corruption of Calderón, García Luna and Fox”, in addition to demonstrating against his government.

“Do you think that whoever comes on Sunday to demonstrate against us, to support corruption, to (Felipe) Calderón, to (Genaro) García Luna, to (Vicente) Fox, does he come happy, aware that he is defending a just cause? … that is what this demonstration is for, to defend the old corrupt regime”, accused the federal president.

And Morena replicates AMLO’s sayings

“On Sunday, many of those accomplices of García Luna, of those accomplices of the Sinaloa Cartel, will gather in the Zócalo; and they are going to demonstrate with a flag that defends democracy, when in reality they are going to demonstrate so that there is no sanction for those who violate the law, those who violate the norm”, accused Morenista senator César Cravioto at a press conference.

His fellow senator Antares Guadalupe Vázquez reaffirmed the argument:

“The people of Mexico have to know what is the bottom of the matter of ‘the INE is not touched’, and ‘García Luna is not touched’, and ‘the corrupt are not touched’. They have a lot of things to explain and they are not doing it,” he surmised.

His fellow seat, José Narro also disqualified the concentration:

“We see the march next Sunday, which says The INE is not touched. Lorenzo Córdova is not touched, García Luna is not touched, Felipe Calderón is not touched. What they are looking for is impunity, what they are looking for is to maintain privileges, what they are looking for is to maintain a regime of impunity and corruption, which was the one that they practically had to direct and build from the spaces of government that they had,” he said.

Asked why the concentration on Sunday should be demerited, Senator Cravioto Romero justified:

“No, we do not detract from the concentration that the right will have, we simply point out the reason for the concentration. Because they want to put the seal that they are defending democracy, when what they are defending are privileges, it is corruption and it is characters like García Luna ”, she linked.

Is Morena going to present the evidence that this march is in favor of García Luna? –She was asked.

-Well, you just have to see who is summoning.

– Doesn’t Morena have proof?, then.

– Yes, all citizens have them. There are media outlets that don’t want to see the evidence, that’s fine, don’t see the evidence; as there are media that, even in the process of García Luna, did not see everything that the witnesses of the corruption of García Luna were saying. There are media that do not want to see those governments full of corruption.
