The inauguration of the route from Caracas to Doha, the capital of Qatar, was part of the agreements signed by Maduro, when he visited this country during the international tour, in June of this year. Tickets for economy class are offered at $1,990 and business class is around $2,600.
Conviasa, the state airline of Venezuela, inaugurated this Saturday, November 3, the direct Caracas-Doha route, which will have weekly flights and the availability of more than 1,500 seats, an offer contemplated in the tourist promotion of those who want and can travel to Qatar at enjoy the World Cup, according to the Minister of Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán.
The airline’s website reflects the costs of the ticket: a roundtrip from Caracas to Doha will cost $1,990 in economy class, but if you prefer to travel in business class the cost is $2,599.
Minister Araguayán, from the Maiquetía International Airport, said that it is an economic offer, compared to other airlines, and that the objective is to maintain this route for the year 2023, beyond the World Cup.

The start of operations of this direct flight between Caracas and Doha was one of the agreements signed by the ruler Nicolás Maduro during a visit to Qatar, last June, when he made an 11-day international tour.

“It is a direct Caracas-Doha flight, an excellent opportunity to connect two brother towns where everything that is cultural, commercial, touristic exchange is going to be allowed and where this bridge is going to formalize even closer relations that exist between our governments,” said Araguayán.
At the event, the minister was accompanied by the ambassador of Qatar in Venezuela, Rashid Mohsin Fetais, who stated that it is a favorable connection for both peoples in the tourism field.
“We are informing that soon we hope that Qatar Airways will be flying from Qatar to Venezuela and that will also be a great collateral for the Venezuelan and Qatari economy,” said Ambassador Mohsin.
The route will connect Latin America with the Middle East and will be covered with the Airbus 340600 aircraft that has a capacity for 311 passengers.
The Transport Minister added that Conviasa It is “organizing everything necessary” to also activate a flight that connects Caracas with Algeria, as agreed upon during Maduro’s visit to that country.
