Controllership approves favorable credit for more than $22 million for the Santo Tomás Hospital

The Comptroller General of the Republic clarifies to the public that on April 25 it issued its favorable consideration to the feasibility and convenience of an additional credit for an amount of B/.22,562,580.00 (twenty-two million five hundred sixty-two thousand five hundred and eighty balboas with 00 /100) in favor of the Ministry of Health / Hospital Santo Tomas.

Controller Gerardo Solís endorsed the viability of the credit, complying with the administrative and legal procedures regarding the consideration, in addition, he issued a note addressed to the Minister of Economy and Finance, Héctor Alexander, registered on April 26, 2023, informing the decision.

The source of financing for this additional credit comes from the available balance as of December 31, 2022, which is deposited in the account called Minsa-Fondo de Trabajo-Hospital Santo Tomás.

The purpose of this additional credit is to cover the needs for electrical energy, materials and supplies, and medical equipment such as: magnetic resonance, advanced anesthesia system, shock wave system, portable osmosis plant, steam boiler, among others.
