The head of advisers to the Buenos Aires Government, Carlos Bianco, affirmed that during the administration of Maria Eugenia Vidal “There was a systematic plan to persecute trade unionists, opponents and social leaders.”

“No one can doubt that this was organized, planned and armed from the highest level”, expressed the provincial official, referring to the complaint about the existence of a macrista judicial table destined to put together cases against unionists during the previous administration.

Likewise, in statements to radio station El Destape, Bianco maintained that Attorney Julio Conte Grand “should attend” the bicameral Intelligence Commission of Congress, to which he was summoned for January 27 at noon, “given the seriousness of the facts under investigation.”

In this context, the head of the prosecutors recalled that he was mentioned in the footage found in the facilities of the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI), in which a meeting between several officials of the Vidal Government, AFI agents and businessmen in the Buenos Aires headquarters of Banco Provincia, where there was talk about orchestrating legal cases against union organizations.

“Two former ministers and a former deputy minister openly say that the assembly of cases that they planned with the AFI, businessmen and the mayor of La Plata (Julio) Garro was arranged with the attorney”Bianco said and suggested that “beyond giving written explanations, Conte Grand should go to the commission, show his face, answer the questions they ask him and give more substantive explanations.”

On Monday, the chief prosecutor of the province of Buenos Aires asked to testify before the bicameral intelligence subcommittee of Congress in writing, but the legislators rejected it and reconvened it in person.

In this regard, Bianco said: “We are used to this type of maneuvering by the leaders of the PRO and he does not cease to be. In the province we have a militant prosecutor, a PRO militant“.

In another section of the interview, Bianco assessed that the response given by former governor María Eugenia Vidal about the video “was quite scandalous” and questioned that the current national deputy of Together for Change for CABA has said that this meeting was “a work meeting.”

“A rather particular work meeting if they said they wanted to establish a Gestapo to persecute trade unionists. As a minister and Secretary of State I had thousands of work meetings and we never talked about persecuting someone, let alone sat down with someone without knowing who they were”, highlighted.

For his part, the Buenos Aires provincial deputy Mariano Cascallares He lamented that some “media seek to file” the complaint on the judicial table, and asked the public to “give validity” to the issue.

“There are a number of media that seek to file the issue, so it is important to give it validity until the point where justice advances and investigates. We must deepen the issue and take all appropriate measures,” said Cascallares in dialogue with Telem Radio.
