The Consumer Confidence Index (ICC), measured by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), recorded an increase of 3.5 points in June this year compared to the previous month. The indicator’s growth came after a drop of 3.1 points from April to May.
With the result, the ICC reached 79 points, on a scale of 0 to 200 points, the best result since August last year (81.8 points).
The Current Situation Index (ISA), which measures the perception of Brazilian consumers in the present, rose 1.3 points and reached 70.4 points, the best result since July 2021 (70.9 points). The Expectations Index (IE), which measures confidence in the future, grew 4.9 points and reached 85.9 points, still below April (86.1 points).
