An advance of 39.1% presents the new electric transmission line Sabanita-Panamá III, this project, which is part of the Expansion Plan of the National Interconnection System, will transmit 230 KV increasing the electric transmission capacity from the province of Colón to the city from Panama.
This was indicated by the general manager of the Electric Transmission Company (ETESA), Carlos Mosquera Castillo, noting that they will carry out the construction of two electrical substations, work that includes the installation of 174 power line towers and 16 poles to support them.
In the same way, he explained that the cadastral survey and the corresponding studies have been carried out, in the 93 points through which this electric transmission line will pass.
He explained that the project involves, in addition to technical work, a strategic plan to minimize its environmental impact, with proper wastewater management, garbage collection, reforestation program, flora and fauna rescue, along with programming that will allow the rescue of archaeological pieces found during the construction of this work.
The route of this transmission line is approximately 46.2 kilometers, and for this important work some 2,470 tons of steel will be used; In addition, porticos and protection meshes will be installed at the intersections on lanes and accesses of the Panama – Colón highway.
