Construction of schools that will house more than 1,500 students in Herrera advances

The Minister of Education, Maruja Gorday de Villalobos, made a tour this weekend in the province of Herrera, to verify the progress of the construction of two schools, in La Arena and Boca de Parita.

“These new schools, the children and young people from Herrera who live in these sectors, will be able to study in renovated classrooms and learning spaces, which will be decisive for obtaining the expected academic results,” said the head of MEDUCA.

The Boca de Parita school, in the district of Monagrillo, has registered a 68% progress and includes the construction of four pavilions with a psychology area, a teachers’ room, a parents’ room, an administrative area, a library, an infirmary, theoretical classrooms, preschool and kindergarten, science and music laboratory, sanitary battery, warehouses, kitchen dining room, school kiosk, area for civic square, parking lots.

As for recreation, the students will have a new covered court and an additional one for multiple sports, a physical education classroom, bleachers, sanitary modules and water reserve tanks.

Another of the projects that are being carried out in this region of the country is the CEBG of La Arena, which is being built with an investment of B/.9,913,903 and includes scope such as administrative offices, 18 theoretical classrooms, a library, sanitary modules, a retaining wall . In addition, it will have laboratories, a gym, a kitchen-dining room, a civic plaza, parking lots and a treatment plant. Environmental, soil and topographic impact studies were established for this project.
