The National Construction Cost Index – M (INCC-M), measured by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), registered inflation of 0.04% in October this year. The rate is lower than the 0.10% in September.
As a result, the INCC-M accumulates inflation rates of 8.96% in the year and 10.06% in 12 months.
Inflation of 0.04% in October was driven by labor, whose cost rose 0.31% in the month, up from 0.26% in September.
Materials, equipment and services, on the other hand, registered deflation (price drop) of 0.32% in October, a sharper cost reduction than the one observed in the previous month, which had been 0.14%.
