The Construction Confidence Index (ICST), measured by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), dropped 0.8 point in March compared to February. With the retreat, the indicator reached 92.9 points, on a scale of 0 to 200 points.
The fall in the confidence of construction businessmen was caused by the worsening of the evaluations in relation to the coming months. The Expectations Index (EI-CST) dropped 3.8 points and reached 93.9 points, the lowest level since May 2021 (89 points).
The Current Situation Index (ISA-CST), which measures confidence in the present, rose 2.1 points and reached 92 points, the first increase this year.
The Construction Capacity Utilization Level (Nuci) improved for the second month and grew 0.8 percentage point to 76%.
