The Constitution Commission of Congress approved this Tuesday, January 24, the advancement of the start of the second legislature for February 15 and will end on June 15, 2023. This, in order to discuss the advancement of elections that some protesters at the national level are asking for.

After the participation of legislators Waldemar Cerrón (Perú Libre), Heidy Juarez (Not grouped), Kelly Portalatino (Perú Libre) and Víctor Cutipa (Perú Bicentenario), the vote began.
With 15 votes in favor and nine against, it was approved that the second legislature would start only on February 15. First, they rejected the alternative that this legislature begins on February 1 and thus accelerates the debate on the early elections.
