Consorven: Women with disabilities must continue fighting for equality in society

The NGO reported that they are in constant meetings with groups that bring together different disabilities in search of dealing with these issues where there is inequality between these people to take action in the face of this deficit in the Venezuelan system.


On the occasion of International Women’s Day the Confederation of the Deaf of Venezuela (consort), issued a statement on Wednesday, March 8, stating that women with disabilities must continue fighting to achieve equality in civil, political and economic rights.

“In Venezuela and throughout the world, millions of women continue to be discriminated against in terms of the enjoyment of their rights for reasons of age, race, ethnicity, disability or socioeconomic situation,” the report explains.

Consorven reported that they are in constant meetings with groups that bring together different disabilities in search of dealing with these issues where there is inequality between these people to take action in the face of this deficit in the Venezuelan system.

“On this occasion we reactivate the National Commission of Deaf Women of Venezuela with the aim of carrying out projects, talks, health days and constant training, to continue fighting for our ideals and our rights until we achieve a full life, enjoying equalities so that no one is left behind”, they commented.
