At the beginning of the session of the Production Commission on Monday, December 2, chaired by Tania Ramírez, the classification of the meeting as “extraordinary”. The parliamentarian of Popular Force argued that the commission is scheduled to meet on Mondays at 10 a.m. and that, on this occasion, it should be considered only “decentralized” rather than “ordinary.”
“Mr. Secretary, would we have any problem with that issue? What happens is that in all the commissions that I have participatedwhen the session has been held on the day it is and at the time it is, it is an ‘ordinary’ session. (…) And today an ordinary ‘decentralized’ session had to be held, but I don’t know why they put ‘extraordinary’,” said Congresswoman Ramírez.

In this regard, the technical secretary of the commission I had already explained to Tania Ramírez’s previous questions that there would be no convenience in this regard and that it was due to parliamentary practice. However, at the insistence of the Fuerza Popular parliamentarian, he responded: “Madam President, I must point out that I have been working as a technical secretary for 22 years and, unfortunately, there are only 10 technical secretaries left and there are a lot of improvisation directing commissions“.
In this regard, Tania Ramírez said that she only wanted them to indicate the support with the corresponding standard.
