Congresswoman Noelia Herrera Medina presented her letter of resignation to the caucus People’s Renewalwhich leaves this group with eight members within the Legislative Power.
Through the document that she sent on August 5 to the head spokesperson of her caucus, Jorge Montoya, the parliamentarian indicates that she is resigning from the political group for which she was elected without specifying the reasons.
With his departure, Renovación Popular proceeds to stay with eight members.
According to El Comercio, Herrera Medina had been initially chosen by her now former bench to integrate and be president of the Education Commission in the current legislative period 2022-2023.
However, the bench decided to remove her from the working group to put Gladys Echaíz in her place.
