The first vice president of Congress, Lady Camones (APP), criticized his elected colleague this Sunday for Free Peru Nieves Limachi Quispeto send to President of the Council of Ministers, Hannibal Torresa citizen proposal to change the color and shape of our national flag.
“Pedro Castillo’s government not only destroys citizen security, the economy, employment, agriculture, mining; now Peru Libre intends to end our patriotic identity: it proposes the change of color and shape of our national flagCamones wrote on his Twitter account.
Lady Camones released a letter sent by legislator Limachi Quispe to Aníbal Torres, dated March 4, where she shared a proposal from citizen Marcos Fortunato Mendoza Huamán to change the shape and color of the Peruvian flag.
“I transfer the citizen proposal sent to my congressional office by Mr. Marco Mendoza Huamán […] by which he proposes the change of design, shape and colors of the flag of Peru”, Limachi points out in his letter.
And continues: “[…] so that said proposal is evaluated and valued by its represented”, while attaching the respective proposal file.
Limachi Quispe was sworn into office on November 11, 2021, replacing the deceased Free Peru legislator, Fernando Herrera.
Last January, the legislator left the Peru Libre caucus and joined the new Democratic Peru parliamentary group.
Other members of this group are Héctor Valer (former Popular Renewal); Guillermo Bermejo, Hamlet Echeverría Rodríguez, Betssy Chávez and Roberto Kamiche (ex Peru Libre); and Carlos Zeballos Madariaga (People’s Action).
