Congressman Jorge Marticorena presented his resignation to the Free Peru caucus before the spokesman, Waldemar Cerrón, after the censorship of the Minister of Labor, Betssy Chávez. Marticorena sent a document in which he states that his presence in the official parliamentary group “is unsustainable.”
“It is a pleasure to write to you to inform you and for the purposes that parliamentary groups are constituted among congressmen who share similar ideas and common interests, as indicated in the first paragraph of art. 37 of the Regulations of the Congress of the Republic. However, this reason is diluted in the bench, becoming more visible in recent days, the same reason that makes staying in said space unsustainable, for which the undersigned has made the decision to present my resignation to the Free Peru parliamentary group “, it reads.
