congressman Ilyich Lopez (Popular Action) ruled on the interpellation motion promoted by its bench against the President of the Council of Ministers, Hannibal Torres, for the measures that the Government has taken against the strike of transporters and the protests in the country. The parliamentarian assured that they will adequately carry out the process to summon the prime minister.
López indicated that there are radical sectors of Congress that seek Torres Vásquez’s removal from office, but he clarified that in this situation there is mismanagement by the President of the Republic, peter castleand their ministers of state.
“We are going to give the appropriate procedure for the interpellation, let’s not forget that we are in a democratic system where processes are important. Surely there are more radical opinions that he should leave office and take on another one, but here, more than the issue of Aníbal Torres, it is a constant bad participation of the entire Executive, from the President of the Republic to the ministers”, he pointed out in dialogue with RPP.
In this sense, the congressman from People’s Action He referred to the strike of carriers, and in particular to the protests in Junín, where he recalled that there were deaths. Therefore, he justified the decision of his bench to promote this initiative.
“After everything that has happened, I believe that the Executive has a great responsibility for not having responded quickly [las demandas]. Several lives have been lost and this type of situation makes one make an analysis that decides to raise in the exercise of our powers what the Constitution gives us and that is the question of the interpellation”, declared Ilyich Lopez

On the last April 6, through its social networks, the bench of People’s Action He called on legislators to join and sign this initiative that seeks for the head of the ministerial cabinet to go to the Legislative Palace to answer an interpellatory statement.
In the document of the motion, six questions are established in relation to the Statements made by Defense Minister José Gavidia, about the meeting they had in Huancayo with leaders from different sectors; and about the declaration of a state of emergency and the curfew that was decreed last Tuesday, which hours later was rescinded.
