OUTRAGEOUS. The congressman for Somos Perú, José Jeríhas been reported by sexual violation by a woman, who was allegedly attacked by the parliamentarian in a private meeting at the politician’s home.
The supreme prosecutor Juan Carlos Villena has his case in his hands and the start of the investigations has already been arranged.
The Somos Perú party has announced the suspension of Jerí’s militancy and requested speed in the investigations. They also assured that they condemn all types of acts of violence against the integrity of women.
Unfortunately, this type of complaint is not new in Parliament, which has been part of investigations into an alleged prostitution ring.
José Jerí issued a statement ensuring that he had no participation in the events that the woman reported on December 30.
According to said complaint, the events occurred on December 29 at a social gathering in which the woman and the parliamentarian and other acquaintances participated.
The parliamentarian assured that the woman arrived at the meeting in the company of two people and denied being the author of the events reported in the complaint.
“I have requested a license from the political party to which I belong to guarantee that this process is carried out with transparency and without external interference,” said Jerí. The facts are being investigated by the Public Ministry.
