Congressman Diego Bazan (Country advances) announced that it will present a motion of censure against the Minister of Energy and Mines, Carlos Palacios, after he was questioned by the Plenary Session of Congress this Thursday, May 12.
Through his social networks, Bazán emphasized that this initiative against the member of the ministerial cabinet is based on the hiring of people without experience in the sector and their closeness to the secretary general of Peru Libre, Vladimir Cerron.
“Minister of Energy and Mines appointed people without experience and answers to Vladimir Cerrón. In recent weeks, he tried to boycott Petroperú’s Board of Directors and sought financing from the MEF for Lot 192, despite high debt. For this reason, I announce the presentation of a motion of censure”, he wrote on his Twitter account.
This Thursday afternoon, the head of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) went to the chamber of Parliament to answer the interpellatory statement that was presented by the various questions against him.
the minister Carlos Palacios was in charge of answering questions about his alleged lack of experience and studies to assume the position he occupies.. In addition, he was consulted about his position as regional director of Energy and Mines when Vladimir Cerrón was in charge of the Regional Government of Junín.
Furthermore, he answered on the hiring of personnel without the technical profile or the necessary experience to occupy the positions within the Minem. Likewise, regarding the supposed designation of relatives of Peru Libre.
Interpellation to ministers
