The Oversight Commission of Congress summoned the president for Tuesday, October 29 Dina Boluarte to declare on “the assets and resources of the States assigned to the Presidency of the Republic”, within the framework of the presidential ‘cash’ scandal.

“Report regarding the assets and resources of the State assigned to the Presidency of the Republic and their use within the period of its management, as they correspond to matters of public interest,” the document states.
Likewise, the text reminds the president that “one of the main constitutional obligations of the President of the Republic is to be accountable to the population regarding his functional acts.”
In that sense, the commission summoned the president to the Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre legislative building. However, he also indicated that the president can determine the place, date and time.
“Failing that, in response to your high position and your agenda, I ask you to indicate the place, date and time for the congressmen of the Oversight Commission to attend,” the text indicates.
On Friday, October 18, the Parliament’s Oversight and Comptroller Commission approved, with seven votes in favor and five against, inviting the president to respond to the State assets assigned to her office.
This measure was taken after the ‘Cofre’ scandal, when the presidential vehicle was captured near the Mykonos beach condominium, in Asia, in February of this year, where the National Police carried out a failed operation to capture the fugitive Vladimir Cerrón.
