But these types of problems in congressional offices are not new. There are precedents of their poor conditions denounced by the parliamentarians themselves.

In 2016, former Fuerza Popular congresswoman Alejandra Aramayo Gaona requested the remodeling of her office, pointing out that her congressional office was not in habitable conditions, so she requested authorization for the remodeling, valued at S/50 thousand. The president of the Congress of the Republic at that time, Luz Salgado Rubianes, pointed out that she was not the only congresswoman who had requested spare parts. According to her, she said, members of all the caucuses had made requests.
