The Congress approved granting special powers to the Commission for National Defense and Internal Order to investigate the alleged irregular use of the presidential plane and other ships of the Armed Forces in the transfer of relatives of the president peter castle.
By 66 votes in favor, 41 against and 1 abstention, the national representation gave the green light to the initiative presented by the president of said working group, Diego Bazán (Avanza País).
The motion indicates that nephews of the head of state such as Kevin Castillo Medina and Cristian Ríos Castillo would be constant travelers to Talara, Iquitos, Tumbes, Puerto Maldonado, Chiclayo and other destinations, using military planes for this purpose.
Mention is also made of other traveling family members, such as Iván Castillo Castillo, Rafael Delgado Manuel or Carlos Orellana Ordóñez on flights to the Jungle; and Dunker Wilfredo Hilario Ayala, who allegedly used other people’s identity documents.
In the same way, a journalistic report is cited in which it is stated that these people or their relatives, after the trips, would have benefited from contracts in different entities of the Executive Power.
It should be noted that the Plenary adopted this decision after the registration of a passenger identified as “Lay Vásquez Castillo” in the presidential delegation that traveled to the city of Chiclayo on June 23 on a plane from the Peruvian Air Force (FAP).
In this regard, Defense Minister Daniel Barragán stated that a “material error” when consigning said name, specifying that the person who actually traveled was Yoni Vásquez Castillo.
“I want to refer to the material error that existed when there was a trip by the President of the Republic, when placing the word ‘Lay’ in the office, because that is what the document made by hand said. When they type it, the lady who passes it in the office, she passes it by putting ‘Lay’, but the one who really travels is Yoni Vásquez Castillo, his ID confirms it when he returns ”plot.
