This statement was sent after the central government observed the Congress initiative that proposes the automatic appointment of teachers.

The proposal of the Parliament, they said, “represents a serious damage to the Teachers’ Reform, based on the recognition of the merit and capacity of teachers.”

“Meritocracy must be required of all teachers, without exception, to promote quality education for the benefit of students, their families and the thousands of teachers appointed to the Public Teaching Career through their own effort and merit,” they said.
