The congresswoman Flor Pablo announced that it will promote an investigation into the Ethics Commission against the member of the bench of Popular Renewal, Milagros Jáuregui de Aguayo. The reason is the exposure of minor victims of sexual abuse in their Casa del Padre shelter.
During an interview with Exitosa, Pablo questioned that the minors have been shown publicly in a church along with their babies in their arms at an event, as shown in images spread on social networks.
“”I see it in Congress, there is a belief that above the security of the lives of these girls is the protection of the life that is yet to be born. I think there is an issue of belief that we have to say clearly. We cannot allow 10 or 12 year old girls who have been raped to become mothers,” she claimed.
Then, he added: “That cannot be normalized, and here showing them, doing politics, showing what they are doing as a success story, is absolutely regrettable and must be repudiated. The criminal investigations are already underway; I am going to propose an investigation in the Ethics Commission“.
The legislator supported her request by indicating that “it is not correct that a congresswoman who has the mission of legislating and protecting all Peruvians is doing these acts of exposing minors without hiding her identity.”
“We have to make a balance between our beliefs and what is correct and fair for all children in the country,” Pablo emphasized.

In the letter, Vergara recalled the information disseminated by the media about the alleged actions linked to the “La Casa del Padre” shelter, as well as the alleged improper public exposure of minors sheltered in that place.
“We request that you send as soon as possible a detailed report that will clarify the facts regarding the care of girls of sexual violence who would have been sheltered in said establishment,” the document reads.
