the legislator Patricia Chirinos of Country advances sent an official letter to the President of the Council of Ministers (PCM), Hannibal Torresfor request information to be provided to the Congress of the republic about the meeting held last Monday, August 15, by the Head of State, Pedro Castillo Terrones, with prefects and sub-prefects from different parts of the country.
“Peru has the right to know with whom and for what Castillo meets behind the doors of the Palace. For this reason, I have asked the PCM for information on the issues discussed in the meeting that he held yesterday, late at night, the president with the perfect and sub-prefects of the country, ”he explained on his Twitter account.
In this line, Chirinos said that from the Executive must report in detail what was discussed in the Government Palace after the calls for mobilizations made by Hannibal Torres: “I request that you inform me in writing of the list of people who entered the Palace, the agenda of the meeting and the minutes thereof, in which the interventions made and the agreements reached are reported.”
It is also requested that the justification for said meeting be detailed and a detailed report on the resources used and the logistical expenses assumed in the development of the event.
Aníbal Torres calls for mobilizations
On Thursday, August 11, Prime Minister Hannibal Torres urged supporters of the president peter castle to mobilize a greater number of people in Lima to demonstrate against what he described as “coup plotters.” The statements were made during a meeting with leaders of Metropolitan Lima and different social organizations.
“If you, with that energy you have, with that will to defend your interests, those of your children and your children’s children, with that will, brought 50 people each to Lima, you would bring the coup plotters to their knees. They would force them so that we have a Constitution that benefits all Peruvians,” he said.
