Parliamentarian Juan Carlos Lizarzaburu (Popular Force) warned that he observes a “lack of action” on the part of Vicente Romero to reverse subversive actions and drug trafficking.
“I agree with quoting the (Interior) Minister. However, the commandos of the Vraem regions must have already taken action on the matter. Terrorists have to be prosecuted and hit with the full force of the law,” he told Peru21.
The parliamentarian even stressed that the president Dina Boluarte “cannot be oblivious to the attack”, which would have been directed by the Senderista column of ‘Leonardo’, by orders of Víctor Quispe Palominoalias ‘José’, according to military intelligence sources for this newspaper.
“The president should already be giving the directives to put an end to narcoterrorism. As the supreme commander of the Armed Forces, she has to apply a strong hand and these violent acts have to stop now”, claimed Lizarzaburu.
In his turn, José Cueto (Popular Renewal) stressed that citing Romero and Chávez Cresta “is the right thing to do” given “the lack of action” after the attack by Sendero Luminoso del Vraem.
