López Morales’ request comes after Minister Avelino Guillén named two people involved with Movadef, a front organization of the Shining Path, as regional prefects.
In Supreme Resolution No. 257-2021-IN, teacher Eliseo Huamani Curihuamani was appointed as regional prefect of Apurímac.
Huamaní Curihuamani is a natural teacher from the province of Aymaraes (Apurímac) and appears as a signatory of Movadef, according to Peru21. He is also a member of Fenate Peru, a union founded by President Pedro Castillo.
While in Supreme Resolution No. 258-2021-IN, Cinthya Karina Lindo Espinoza was designated by the Piura region. The former candidate to Congress for Peru Libre is being investigated by the Dircote (Directorate Against Terrorism-PNP) for her participation in activities to collect signatures in favor of the convocation of a Constituent Assembly.
