The senior official of the Congress of the Republic, Hugo Roviraassured that the journalists of the social communication media accredited before the National Parliament will enter -in a few more days- the galleries of the chamber of sessions.
The entrance of the journalists to the galleries -located on the second floor of the hemicycle- will be when they conclude the repair work that was recommended by the experts of the Disaster Risk Management Department of the Municipality of Lima.
The senior official reported that in response to the recommendations of the specialists and to guarantee the lives of the congressmen, protectors will be placed in the galleries to prevent the eventual fall of objects or people who are in those locations.

“We have to preserve human life. As soon as the supplier gives us these protectors, they will be installed and the doors of the galleries will be opened to the press”said the official.
“It cannot be said that there is a lack of transparency because all the activities of the Congress of the Republic are transmitted by the information platforms of the National Parliament”he added.
Rovira specified that journalists accredited in Congress have a limited space in the Hall of Lost Steps “because we have to have order” Y “We have to adapt to the times”.
“We have a special room for press conferences and the press room has been reopened with all the comforts. We have to comply with the observations of the specialists”he underlined.
