“He does not comply with the established conditions. Law 26519 is not applicable to him, since he assumed the Presidency of the Republic by succession,” says the document obtained by Sunday.
“The pension is a form of recognition on the part of the person who represents the Nation to someone who has exercised the highest position of service to the country for a full period of time. Therefore, it would necessarily have to be granted to a former constitutional president elected by popular mandate who has held the office for a full period,” argues the Labor Advisory area to declare the former president’s request inadmissible.
Just 10 days after leaving office, Dina Boluarte sent a document to the president of Congress, Fernando Rospigliosi, to request a life pension, in addition to other benefits enjoyed by former presidents.
“I request that I be assigned the logistical benefits indicated in the agreement of the Board of Directors No. 78 of 2016”, detailed Boluarte.
Precisely among the benefits requested by the former president was that the State would have to assign her a CAS worker with a salary of 3,700 soles per month, within the framework of direct hiring. Added to this is that Boluarte was looking for 150 gallons of gasoline monthly.
