Congress promulgates readjustments for parliamentarian, minister and president

Congress overturns presidential vetoes and benefits several sectors

The President of the National Congress, Rodrigo Pacheco, enacted the readjustment of salaries of Ministers of State, deputies, senators, the President and the Vice President of the Republic. The text fixing the subsidies was published today (26) at Official Diary of the Union??Congress promulgates readjustments for parliamentarian, minister and president

With the readjustment, Ministers of State, parliamentarians, President and Vice President of the Republic will receive R$ 46,366.19 in stages, of which R$ 39,293.32 from January 1, 2023; BRL 41,650.92 as of April 1, 2023; BRL 44,008.52 as of February 1, 2024; and BRL 46,366.19 as of February 1, 2025.

According to the National Congress, the readjustments have an impact of BRL 2.5 billion on the 2023 Budget, an amount that was already foreseen in next year’s Budget project.
