Congress promotes interpellation motion against Chancellor Elmer Schialer

One more minister in the sights of Congress. Juan Burgos, president of the Supervisory Commission promotes a motion of interpellation against the head of Foreign Affairs Elmer Schialerafter the Foreign Ministry granted the safe duct so that former First Lady Nadine Heredia is assigned in Brazil, after being sentenced to 15 years in prison for money laundering.

The congressman of Podemos Peru already seeks the signatures for the motion against Schialer, who first today on Tuesday requested to attend the legislative’s plenary to explain about Heredia about the asylum. The Board of Spokespersons did not accept its order and decided that the Foreign Minister responds to the Foreign Relations Commission, which he finally did not attend.

Burgos has a few hours left to achieve the 20 signatures he needs, because parliamentarians will rest this Thursday and Good Friday and from Monday they will start a new week of representation.

To proceed with this motion the head of RR.EE. A sheet of nine questions referring to the delivery of the document that allowed the exit to Brazil of the former First Lady must be answered.

On the last Monday 14, the Congress included this week’s plenary agenda the admission of the interpellation motions against four ministers: Morgan Quero (Education), Leslie Urteaga (Social Development and Inclusion), César Vásquez (Health), and Raúl Pérez Reyes (Transport and Communications). Even the Premier Gustavo Adrianzén was questioned last week.
