Congress postpones election date for Comptroller General

The board of directors of the Congress that ended its functions last August 20, had determined that the The election of the next Comptroller General of the Republic would be brought forward on August 3, but that date was postponed by the new president of the Senate, Roy Barreras.

and went on to say: “The new election date for the Comptroller General of the Republic will be Thursday, August 18. And the hearings for the presentation of candidates will be convened on the previous Thursday, August 11”.

This means that the nine members of the final list appointed by the Congress of the Republic to aspire to lead the fiscal control entity, may have more campaign days among legislators of all parties and participate in the public hearing where everyone will be heard.

The new group of candidates for the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic is made up of the five men and four women who had the best score in the tests carried out by the Industrial University of Santander.
