The conclave, where more than 400 representatives of the French tourism industry met, including tour operators, travel agents, airlines, journalists, insurance agencies, MICE agenciesamong others, was held in Bávaro
Jean-Pierre Morepresident Entreprides du Voyage, thanked Minister David Collado for the willingness and facilities for the congress to be held in the Dominican Republic, and congratulated him for being the first country to recover the post-covid industry.
“I want to thank you for your welcome in the Dominican Republic, we are delighted in this country, the sun, the sea, and each of its offers, but, above all, the joy of the population,” he said.
He said that Quisqueya was the first long-distance country to receive the French after the pandemic, and that it is one of the top 5 destinations for French people to vacation.

Preference
the minister David Collado reported that last April they received 24,839 French, 1,500 more than in 2019in pre-pandemic, which gives a clear signal of its preference for the Dominican Republic, occupying the third place as the issuing market.
“We are going to continue betting on this French market,” he assured.
About French tourists
It is recalled that Minister Collado was present during the event. He thanked the French tourism representatives for choosing the Dominican Republic to hold the congress. Also because Quisqueya is their favorite long-distance destination, receiving 24,839 French people in April this year.
