Between January and May of this year, 87 cases of former employees who were paid more money than they were owed were detected.
Of these cases, 57 of them were recovered, 27 cases are currently in the process of recovery by the Parliamentary Attorney’s Office, and three cases are in the process of recovery at the administrative level in the Human Resources Department.
According to information provided by the General Administration Directorate of Parliament, a total of S/ 166,346.70 has been recovered to date.
“Parliament will continue its oversight work to prevent the repetition of these cases of excessive spending to the detriment of the institution,” said a press release from the legislature.
