In general, disapproval of Parliament has been on the rise in recent months. This has increased by 1.4 percentage points, according to the latest CPI survey, in relation to the one published in June this year. Likewise, in April, 83.6% rejection was registered, that is, 4.3% less.
Support of Congressional Proposals
The study also considered the opinion of Peruvians on the proposals put forward by the Legislative, such as the return to the bicameral system and the re-election of congressmen. In this sense, the rejection of the population exceeds 50%.
The 58.1% of those surveyed disagree with Parliament working with two chambers –one from senators and another from deputy–, while 31.9% support the measure. On the other hand, 61.8% disapprove that there is reelection for legislators starting in the next elections, while 33.2% agree.
