The Congress of the Republic informed its staff of the new dress code that they will have to wear during the summer.
Through a statement, they indicated that, according to article 89 of the Internal Work Regulations, they will not allow the use of jeans, sneakers, shorts, miniskirts and the like.
In that sense, they warn that “Appearing in inappropriate clothing constitutes an offense that may be punished.”.
They also indicated that it will be allowed to go to the work center with clothing according to the season, and may dispense with the use of a jacket and tie. However, they clarify that they must maintain formal attire in the sessions of the Plenary, Permanent Commission and ordinary commissions.
“However, those who participate in sessions of the Plenary Session, Permanent Commission and Commissions must maintain the mandatory use of formal attire, in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Conduct of Servers and Officials of the Congress of the Republic.“, they stated.
