Congress of Mayors approved extension for expiration of Driver's Licenses

Dr. Carlos Moreira Reisch participated in Montevideo in a new meeting of the Congress of Mayors, where a new 60-day extension was unanimously approved, starting on July 1 of the current year, for the expiration of Driver’s Licenses.

During that period, the agenda will be enabled for drivers with expired permits from June 30, 2020. Only for those who have been scheduled in said period, the permits will be considered valid until the date of the agenda, and they must carry proof of it. .

Another of the important points discussed on the agenda was the presentation of the Asymmetries funds that are part of the items that the national government delivers to the Municipalities. Mayor Moreira described as positive the items assigned to the department of Colonia.

The emotional part of the meeting was the tribute paid to the former mayor of Rocha, Artigas Barrios, who recently passed away. His children were present and received greetings from all the communal chiefs.
