The new motion of censure against the Minister of Health, Hernán Condori, has 27 of the 33 signatures necessary for its presentation in the Congress of the Republic.
As you remember, the motion is promoted by the bench of Country advancesbut does not have the signatures of members of People’s Force nor of People’s Renewal.
The approval of a motion of censure requires the vote of more than half of the legal number of parliamentarians, in accordance with article 132 of the Constitution and paragraph a) of article 86 of the Congress regulations.
On March 16, the head of the Minsa went to the Legislature and denied the questions about his professional performance as a doctor that support the interpellation against him for an alleged lack of suitability to hold the position.
Their answers served to convince the opposition bench People’s Renewalbecause it was announced that they would provide “one month term” to “verify” the statements of the Minister of Health.
“In the Popular Renewal bench we are going to give a month to verify the actions that the minister has presented, verify their veracity and after that make a decision”indicated Jorge Montoya, spokesman for the bench, in dialogue with the press.
However, this Monday 21 the spokesman for People’s ForceHernando Guerra García, pointed out that his bench will re-evaluate the motion of censure against the Minister of Health, because they consider it more important “opposition unity”.
