The session of Plenary session of the Congress of the Republic will resume this Tuesday, January 31, starting at 11:00 a.m., with the purpose of continuing the debate on the bill of advance of general elections by 2023. Roel Alva: “Congress is at opposite poles”
Luis Roel Alva, former second vice president of Congress, regretted that the Legislative Branch is delaying the process of early elections. The congressman assured that the polarization with political interests, which exists within parliament, is the main reason why they have not yet reached a consensus.
“They are at opposite poles. There is a position that wants early elections, but with a constituent assembly and within each group they have their own requests. Others say no constituent assembly, but with political reforms”, said the public servant for La República.
